Cessna 172sp
General Information
The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a four-seat, all-metal, high wing, fixed tricycle landing gear airplane. It is powered by a 180 hp, fuel-injected Lycoming engine which burns about 10 gallons per hour. Total fuel capacity is 56 gallons.
Our Skyhawks have a roomy leather cabin, 120 lbs. luggage compartment, dual-yolk flight controls, conventional “round-dial” and Aspen electronic instruments, Garmin 430 WAAS and GTN750 GPS and single and dual-channel autopilots and are well suited for primary, advanced and instrument training.
These are robust airplanes with very a reliable record for maintenance and safety. First flown in 1955, more Cessna 172s have been built than any other aircraft. With forgiving flight characteristics, great visibility, slow landing speed and a forgiving stall – the Cessna Skyhawk is a flight training favorite ideally suited for student pilots.
