General Information
The Enstrom 280FX (Shark) is a 2-3 seat, all-metal, single piston engine helicopter. It is powered by a powerful 225 hp., turbo-charged, Lycoming engine with a 40 gallon fuel capacity. It has 240 degrees of visibility with chin and overhead windows.
Our Enstrom has leather covered, NASA-inspired, foam seats, dual flight controls and standard instrumentation.
The helicopter delivers excellent performance, an enviable safety record, and low direct operating costs. The turbocharged power plant provides excellent high altitude performance. Its high inertia, fully articulated rotor system provides safety and stability, as well as a smooth ride and exceptional autorotation capabilities. The unblocked tail rotor provides exceptional yaw control even in the windiest conditions.
As of March 2021, N59FS has moved to Cleveland Helicopter Services right next door to AlphaFlight.
